Standing a mere eight inches tall, and only an inch and a half inch thick (without stand), the DSM-120 is compact enough to feel right at home on a bookshelf, night stand, or kitchen counter. The tinted glass front of the device radiates with style, so you can wall mount it if you like.
Find and listen to any song on your computer with ease using the included remote control and easy-to-read LCD screen. Want to explore new musical genres? The DSM-120 can also connect to Internet radio stations and play live streaming music from around the world.
Want to store hundreds of hours of music directly on the device, allowing you to enjoy your music even when your PC is turned off? You can attach a USB flash drive or USB hard drive to the DSM-120 and play music from the drive. Want a more permanent option? Install a 2.5” internal hard drive, transfer your songs, and enjoy your music even when your PC is turned off.
Along with the D-Link Media Server Software, the DSM-120 comes with an easy to use utility so you can easily transfer music to the Music Player’s optional hard drive. You can also use One Touch Copy to transfer music from a USB drive to the internal hard drive.
The Wireless Music Player gives you multiple audio output options including a stereo mini jack, optical audio out, and composite audio. Simply connect your favorite pair of multimedia speakers and enjoy. Or connect the DSM-120 to you home theater A/V receiver and enjoy your tunes on your home speaker system.
The DSM-120 supports Windows Media® Connect and Windows Media Digital Rights Management (WMDRM-10) that allow streaming copy-protected WMA-based music. Along with playing WMA, MP3, and WAV files stored on your computer, the DSM-120 includes many useful features such as an alarm clock6 and sleep timer. Get your day started with something upbeat or drift off to sleep with relaxing melodies.
A built-in Setup Wizard makes the setup process a breeze. Configuring the wireless settings is simplified using Windows® Connect Now. Using Windows Connect Now, determine your wireless settings on your PC, and then transfer the settings to the DSM-120 using a USB flash drive.
